2012-02-22 : Citéos innovates in public lighting
In an effort to achieve more efficient management of public lighting, the Syndicat Intercommunal d'Energies de Côte d'Or (SIECO) assigned Citéos the installation of an innovative “intelligent” lighting control system, using LED lamps.
This control system, installed in a street in the town of Talant (21), can turn on the lighting with sensors which are placed at the beginning and the end of the street, which detect the presence of vehicles, including bicycles. The lighting power is adjusted according to the time of day.
The entire system can be remotely managed, allowing for verification of the proper functioning of the system, calculation of the energy savings made and for remote control of the facilities.
This is a first in terms of public lighting, offering energy savings of 75% compared with standard facilities!
