Testimony of a Maintenance Technician
 | Pierre Donne « I work at the Snecma site in Evry as a maintenance technician. There are about 30 of us in the team and we handle all the breakdowns and malfunctions of the machine tools used to manufacture airplane engine parts. As soon as a work order for a repair job comes in, we have to respond quickly but we also have to be conscientious and rigorous. What is the origin of the breakdown? What solutions are available? How can we respond rapidly? We have to find the right answers to these questions fast. There is always a technical challenge to be met. The pace is irregular and I like the fact that the day-to-day work is not routine. I have been with Opteor under an unlimited-term contract for a year now. I was hired when I earned my electrotechnical diploma in a work-study programme and I remember my induction as being excellent. I had a mentor during my training period and I was very quickly welcomed by the members of the maintenance team, who adopted me as one of their own. I really feel at home here, I like my job and I wouldn’t change it for the world! » |
