Young people are welcomed for internships and work-study programmes under “professionnalisation” and internship contracts; this is a key element of the Group’s human resources policy. These young people are earning a diploma (CAP, Bac Pro, BTS, engineering degree, vocational university degree, master’s degree) while learning their future job through first-hand experience.

to welcome young people and invest in the Group’s future, while giving them an opportunity to explore the world of work and learn a skill.
On the business unit side, work-study programmes and long-term internships make it possible to train young people in our working methods and culture and thus gain their loyalty. This is one way to validate their potential and to offer them an employment contract if they prove themselves.
In 2009, VINCI Energies business units welcomed more than 1,400 young people in work-study programmes and 2,000 interns in immersion courses, an increase of more than 30% compared to 2008.
All these young people are supported day-to-day by a mentor who helps them to learn their job and also to bridge the gap between the school and work.
