Axians sponsors the Solar Team Eindhoven
3,021 km to go through the Australian Outback, from Darwin, Northern Territory to Adelaide, South Australia, in a car that produces energy instead of using it!. The 23 students participates from 18th till 25th October in the World Solar Challenge 2015.
The World Solar Challenge is a biennial solar-powered car race which covers 3,021 km (1,877 mi) through the Australian Outback, from Darwin, Northern Territory to Adelaide, South Australia in a car that produces energy instead of using it!
Axians, our ICT brand, is sponsoring The Solar Team Eindhoven mainly because Axians has innovation, stimulation of young talent and sustainable development high as a priority. The Solar Team Eindhoven consists of 23 students of the TU Eindhoven University, who are try to make their dream come true in the Cruiser class. The vehicle will not only be judged on its responsiveness, its needs in external energies but the number of carried people as well. A car that produces energy instead of using it!
A part from above mentioned we also support the team financially to cover the travel costs. A group of 4 Axians software specialists are helping the students with the development of a strategic system. This means that there will be developed a dashboard for the strategic car which connects through wifi with the Stella Lux.
