CDIO Operational Excellence Award goes to Dominique Tessaro, CIO of VINCI Energies

This award, handed out by the magazine IT for BUSINESS*, comes in recognition of the work carried out by the teams at VINCI Energies to rationalise its IT systems

To boost the competitive edge of its 1,600 companies and support a particularly intensive acquisition policy, with 30 new deals signed in 2017, representing total business volume of €1.6 billion, VINCI Energies is working to achieve an agile, well designed information system.

In 2012, the Group began rationalising its information systems so that its 30,000 employees, who had been working across 40 different office automation platforms, could migrate to the Office 365 cloud-based suite. This project was then broken down to focus on each system component – ranging from workstations and server administration tools to cybersecurity and ERP systems – all while keeping up with the growth of the Group, which now has 64,500 employees.

The awards ceremony was held in Paris on 17 January 2018, featuring a keynote address by Mounir Mahjoubi, France’s Secretary of State for Digital Affairs. At the event, Dominique Tessaro, CIO of VINCI Energies, won the CDIO Operational Excellence Award, in recognition for his work to rationalise VINCI Energies systems, a project he has led since 2012.
