Successful Vega launch
VINCI Energies is a partner of Arianespace for the Vega launcher.
The teams at VINCI Energies business unit Telematic Solutions will provide maintenance and exploitation services at the Vega launch pad for the coming two-year period.
The small Vega launcher (Vettore Europeo di Generazione Avanzata or advanced generation carrier rocket) was designed to carry scientific and earth observation payloads, rounding out the family of European launch vehicles operating from the Guiana Spaceport.
The most recent Vega launch took place at 10:51 p.m. on 22 June 2015 (Kourou, French Guiana time). It lifted Sentinel-2A, the second satellite in the ambitious Copernicus earth observation programme, into orbit.
