Solutions for promoting renewable energies

For over five years, VINCI Energies has been working on major renewable energy projects.

  • Wind energy : The handover of the Salles-Curan and Villesèque wind farms in southern France brings to 12 the number of similar projects completed.
  • Biomass : In Germany, VINCI Energies business units are playing an active role in biomass development and treatment.
  • Solar energy : Nearly 50 photovoltaic projects have been carried out to date in mainland France, overseas France and Italy; these involved industrial (sorting centres, recycling plants, etc.), public and residential buildings for local authorities and individuals. One example is the high school in Saint Laurent du Maroni, French Guiana, for which GETELEC Energies installed solar panels in 2008-2009.

Panneaux photovoltaïques à la Réunion 

The city of Rouen, France awarded the contract covering management of its urban spaces to VINCI Energies. The project involved the reconstruction of the city’s public lighting system comprising nearly 15,000 lighting points.
