The diversity and equal opportunity approach concerns all of the Group’s business units and is part of all of their projects. Specific training is offered within the VINCI Energies Academy. Working groups on diversity and equal opportunity topics have been formed. Management’s involvement, as close to the field as possible, supports this approach. In the Group’s business units, positive and negative discrimination do not exist; the only things that count are professional competency and the confidence given to everyone so that they can prove themselves on the job.

Senior citizens

Binôme jeune - séniorThe integration of diversity and equal opportunity policy also applies to senior citizens. Tutoring (senior/young people mentorship), which is widespread within the business units of the VINCI Energies Group, actively contributes to the transmission of knowledge. A specific 2-day training program was implemented by the VINCI Energies Academy for those who want to provide tutoring.
Respect for elders and their experience is a notion that is deeply rooted in the company culture.
Plans of actions intended to reduce work drudgery by encouraging the changing of positions were implemented in the business units. This helps avoid the negative effects associated with repetitive tasks.

Other business units have undertaken occupational health prevention approaches. The German business unit G+H Isolierung Ludwigshafen is carrying out a program in collaboration with the workers’ compensation funds. The goal is to make an inventory of the main occupational illnesses and to determine prevention actions.
