Safety at work is an absolute priority. Mobilization is everyone’s business. There is a clear objective shared by all of the business units of the Group: “zero accidents”.
Working safely
This commitment, supported by management on all levels, involves reinforced monitoring of the safety data of companies and a policy of training for all employees.It is essential that everyone work together in this approach by making safety concerns second nature. Vigilant behavior can further reduce the frequency and severity of work accidents.
In the field
The “zero accident” priority objective has led to many actions in the field :
- Welcoming people at work sites
- Personalized accompaniment of new hires, temps and sub-contractors
- Consciousness-raising for the wearing of personal protective equipment
- Evaluation of risks, crossed audits
- Dedicated training programs within the VINCI Energies Academy
- Communication actions to inform, establish dialogue and promote exchanges of good practices
The European “toolbox meeting”
April 28th is the World Day for Safety and Health at Work. Every year, in all of the VINCI Energies business units in Europe, at all work sites and other sites, the Group’s employees are mobilized. The purpose is to establish a dialogue regarding everyone’s involvement in safety and also to discuss possibilities for improvement, or to share good practices with a common objective for all: “Zero accident”. The good ideas that come from this thinking will be implemented throughout the year.
