MuCEM (Musée des Civilisations de l’Europe et de la Méditerranée), located at the entrance to the Vieux-Port of Marseilles, is the first major national museum devoted to the civilizations of the Mediterranean. Axians did the museographic arrangement and installation work (multimedia facilities), including a wall of five 20m² LED screens, and the dynamic signs of MuCEM and Fort Saint Jean.

The main building, built on the former J4 port jetty, a construction which blocks the waves at the entrance to a port, offers 2 large exhibition levels over 3600m. MuCEM also extends to Fort Saint Jean, a 17th-century construction which is classified as a historical monument, and to the Resource and Conservation Center (CCR) located in the Belle de Mai neighborhood.
