VINCI Energies holds its Young Talents Day recruitment event, with 400 internships on offer

VINCI Energies holds an intern recruitment event on 18 November at La Factory, its dedicated innovation and brand development space. Nearly 400 internships are on offer across the Group’s four business lines – infrastructure, industry, the service sector and ICT.

Designed for students graduating from engineering, business, management and IT schools, the Young Talents Day offers internships for an average period of six months.

Over 700 students applied via the platform to take part in the upcoming recruitment event at La Factory on 18 November.

An innovative system, from application to selection

VINCI Energies set up the Young Talents Day as an innovative recruitment process providing for:

  • An easy application submission, via the website developed for the purpose. The applicant does not send the usual cover letter but instead applies via a video in which he or she answers a question put by the prospective manager;
  • an opportunity for the applicant to propose his or her “ideal internship”, which will be subsequently analysed by experts in the business activity;
  • a shorter, simpler, more efficient recruitment process thanks to communication via LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter.

Wide-ranging discussions and contacts

The 18 November event will give the applicants selected an opportunity to talk with more than 100 managers and professionals to explore the variety of working environments that exist within VINCI Energies.

VINCI Energies will be presented to students in formats such as virtual reality and escape game, with project and innovation pitches. Applicants will receive HR advice on optimising their professional social media footprint.

Internships are an integral part of VINCI Energies’ human resource policy and we regularly offer them within the Group’s various business units,” says Véronique Matignon-Ménard, HR Director of the VINCI Energies International & Systems division. “The Young Talents Day offers an inclusive and innovative approach based on a personalised applicant/recruiter experience. We prioritise discussions with our managers to enable applicants to explore our Group and find an internship. Today’s interns are tomorrow’s talent. An effective intern recruitment policy enables them to develop their future, and it also enables us to prepare ours!” says Patrick Lebrun, Deputy Managing Director of VINCI Energies, who is notably in charge of human resources.
