VINCI Energies Building Solutions strengthens workforce development and establishes a nationwide training network.
With the opening of the new “Institute Building Solutions Germany,” VINCI Energies Building Solutions is specifically expanding its commitment to workforce development in Germany and actively taking measures to address the shortage of skilled workers not only within its own company but across the entire industry. The new training institute is located at the site of Calanbau Brandschutzanlagen GmbH in Sarstedt, a subsidiary of VINCI Energies Building Solutions.
Internal and external training as a response to the shortage of skilled workers
For now, the institute’s offerings are aimed at the company’s own employees across all brands nationwide. In the long term, the plan is to open the training center to external interested parties and employees of other companies in the construction industry, building services engineering, and facility management. The institute offers practical continuing education and training for apprentices, skilled workers, and career changers from various professional fields.
“With our institute’s training programs, we are consciously investing in employee development to offer them career prospects while simultaneously meeting the growing demand for skilled workers. In doing so, we aim to actively counteract the shortage of skilled workers,” explained Isabell Fröhlich, Director of the Institute, during the grand opening at the Sarstedt training location.
Modern learning formats and hands-on training
At the training center in Sarstedt, the focus will be on practical training and continuing education programs covering fire protection, plant engineering, and safety technology, as well as technical fundamentals for employees in industrial, technical, and commercial professions. Innovative learning formats and “on-the-job training” offer a combination of theory, hands-on training, and safety instruction.
Starting point for a nationwide training network
The plans for the Institute Building Solutions Germany extend far beyond Sarstedt. The opening of the main campus will be followed by the establishment of a Germany-wide network of specialized training centers at various VINCI Energies Building Solutions locations. The first training center will open on April 24, 2026, in Mannheim, with additional locations to follow, including Leipzig, Munich, and Fulda.
“Sharing knowledge and specifically supporting employees—both professionally and personally—has always been our top priority,” says Stefan Falk, Chairman of the Management Board of VINCI Energies Building Solutions in Germany. “It is the crucial foundation for personal growth, motivation, quality, innovation, and above all for successful teamwork, so that we can make a difference together and shape the future. That is why we are now establishing this practice-oriented and career-focused institute alongside our VINCI Energies Academy, which has been dedicated to the development and promotion of personal soft skills and leadership competencies for many years. The breadth resulting from both offers unique added value, enabling us to respond to future labor market demands now and create opportunities for the entire construction and building services engineering industry.”
