Teams from Axians in Italy applied their expertise in DevNet, the Cisco programme for network developers and engineers working with its platforms, to the design of a turnkey solution specifically tailored to their customer’s needs. 

“With such a large number of branches, each one different from the next, standardisation wasn’t just a goal – it was a necessity,” explains Mattia Ambrosio, Network systems Engineer at Axians in Italy. 

With his team, he took on this challenge to develop a fully automated ecosystem capable of centrally managing everything from network design to on-site delivery.    

This has slashed configuration times from 10 hours to just 10 minutes per site. Manual errors have been eliminated, and project managers can now view the stage of completion in real time via personalised dashboards. Each site previously had its own legacy configurations, policies and technologies, but all these have now been standardised.
