VINCI Energies acquires International Fire Control (IFC), a specialist in fire detection and fire protection systems operating in Belgium and Luxembourg. IFC, which specializes in consulting, design, engineering, installation and maintenance of fire protection systems, will strengthen the Fire Solutions activities of VINCI Energies in Belgium.
With a revenue of €25.5 million in 2024, IFC employs 160 people and operates from offices in Tournai (Belgium) and Ellange (Luxembourg) and serves customers in sectors such as industry, tertiary buildings, logistics, and defense. For VINCI Energies in Belgium, the acquisition represents an expansion of its technical expertise and a strengthening of its local presence in Wallonia and Luxembourg. IFC was founded in 2008 and has grown to become a benchmark in fire protection, with its own engineering capabilities, a prefabrication workshop, and specialized installation teams.
Fabrice Montesi, Managing Director of VINCI Energies Belgium Building Solutions, explains: “The acquisition of IFC is part of the further expansion of our Building Solutions activities. The company combines technical expertise with a balanced mix of project and maintenance activities, which structurally strengthens our position in fire protection. This fits in perfectly with our ambition to support customers with reliable and sustainable solutions throughout the entire life cycle of their buildings.”
“IFC brings additional installation capacities and prefabrication capabilities, as well as a strong local presence. This combination allows us to provide even more targeted support to customers, from design to maintenance, and to better tailor fire protection installations to the specific risks of each organization,” says Caroline Stroobant, responsible for the Fire Solutions activities within VINCI Energies in Belgium.
The three founders of IFC, Bernard Coune, Pascal Daubechies, and Rony Basselier, will remain involved in the company to ensure a smooth transition.
“It was important for us to find a partner that respects our corporate culture and at the same time offers prospects for further growth. VINCI Energies combines international clout with local entrepreneurship. That gives our employees and customers confidence, both today and in the future,” concludes Bernard Coune, CEO and co-founder of IFC.
