On July 10, VINCI Energies acquired Leukhardt Schaltanlagen GmbH, based in Immendingen, thereby strengthening the portfolio of its energy infrastructure brand Omexom in Germany.
Founded in 2001, the company specializes in the development and construction of OEM low- and medium-voltage switchgear and offers customized solutions for complex technical requirements, particularly in transformer applications.
With 63 employees and annual sales of around €16 million, Leukhardt focuses on customized switchgear solutions that stand out from the standardized products of large series manufacturers thanks to their flexibility and technical expertise. The service portfolio is complemented by consulting, engineering, commissioning, and comprehensive services. The well-equipped factory also offers potential for further development in future-oriented business areas such as automation, engineering, and retrofitting.
“The merger with Leukhardt in Immendingen will expand our expertise in customized switchgear solutions and strengthen our position as a comprehensive provider of energy infrastructure solutions,” explains Markus Popp, Managing Director at Omexom in Germany. “With this additional expertise and flexibility, we will be able to respond even more specifically to specific customer requirements in the future. We warmly welcome our new colleagues to the Omexom family.”
The management of Leukhardt Schaltanlagen GmbH also views the new partnership positively: “In VINCI Energies, we have found a strong partner who shares our values and opens up new perspectives for us,” says Andreas Glunk. “Integration into an international group of companies not only secures jobs, but also enables us to further expand our expertise and consistently pursue our technological development.”
The focus of the integration is to develop Leukhardt Schaltanlagen GmbH into a specialist provider of retrofit and service solutions in addition to its traditional portfolio. The focus will be on tailor-made modernization of existing systems and better utilization of the service potential of the installed base, both locally and across the group. Additional growth opportunities are opening up as a result of the trend toward SF₆-free solutions.
