A consortium encompassing Easy Charge and FMET has been entrusted with managing and growing the eborn network of public EV charging stations.

The eborn network brings together 11 departmental energy authorities in south-east France, and was set up to support eco-mobility through a unique charging system in all the participating administrative departments.

Easy Charge, a VINCI Autoroutes and VINCI Energies subsidiary specialised in electric mobility, and FMET (the Fonds de Modernisation Ecologique des Transports, managed by Demeter, an investor in the ecological transition), were recently awarded the public service delegation contract to manage the eborn network of EV charging stations.

The eborn network brings together 11 departmental energy authorities in south-east France, and was set up to support eco-mobility through a unique charging system in all the participating administrative departments. Easy Charge and FMET have been entrusted with operating, growing and promoting the eborn network over the coming eight years. The two partners have been tasked with optimising the services for the network’s users, and with expanding and densifying the existing station system, over time. The consortium’s initial investment plan is aimed at ensuring there are charging stations every 30 km in the area by the end of 2021, and at the same time at reinforcing high-potential sites.

The partners have also committed to another investment plan, aimed at expanding the network and supporting the development of electromobility in the 11 administrative departments over the concession’s eight-year period.

Easy Charge will leverage expertise from VINCI Autoroutes and VINCI Energies, through its brands Citeos and Omexom, to roll out, operate and service the eborn network.
