VINCI Energies’ Coureurs du Cœur: a strong commitment to saving children

On 9 July, around fifty VINCI Energies employees took part in the Tour de France to save children with heart defects. Thanks to their effort, four children will be able to undergo surgery aided by the Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque association.

Since 2017, VINCI Energies has been supporting Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque, an association that enables children with heart malformations to come to France for an operation when they cannot be treated in their home country due to a lack of financial and technical resources.

Once again this year, VINCI Energies took advantage of the “Etape du Tour de France” to support Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque and raise awareness of this cause among its employees. On 9 July, around fifty VINCI Energies employees, members of the Coureurs du Cœur team, set off on a 152 km race, including a total ascent of 4,100 m and five mountain passes between Annemasse and Morzine to raise funds and increase the association’s visibility. As a result of their effort, four children will receive life-saving surgery through Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque.
