Working as a structural engineer at Axians Switzerland

Gayatri Ravandale has achieved a healthy balance between her position of responsibility and her personal life.

Gayatri Ravandale has been working as a structural engineer at Axians Switzerland for the past year.

Her main tasks involve performing structural calculations for mobile phone masts and local building parts and providing technical support during the project execution process.

Taking accurate measurements of steel masts and building parts is key when performing structural calculations, which is why Gayatri sometimes needs to visit sites. This approach helps her identify the best technical solutions for problems that could occur during the execution process.

She says that, in this particular position of responsibility, hands-on experience in structural analysis is very important, as is the team she works with: “We have a very motivated and hardworking team in which we can share our know-how and help each other.”

The flexibility offered by the remote and agile working arrangements at Axians has allowed Gayatri to achieve a healthy balance between her job and her personal life.

A good job profile, support from the supervisor and a good work-life balance is what ignites the passion in me that leads to hard work and excellence.
