VINCI Energies renews and strengthens its commitment alongside UNICEF* France for another four years

Since 2022, VINCI Energies has been supporting UNICEF France to help thousands of children learn in better conditions through the use of digital technologies. Convinced that education is one of the most powerful levers for shaping a better future for the next generations, VINCI Energies has chosen to extend and strengthen its commitment for a further four years.

  • Supporting 4 innovative education programmes tailored to the specific challenges of each country: Benin, Brazil, Senegal and Timor-Leste
  • Enabling 100,000 children to access education enhanced by digital technologies

At the heart of the renewed partnership: developing programmes tailored to the realities of each country

The programmes supported through the partnership are designed to address local educational needs, taking into account available equipment and resources, educational content and the specific constraints of each country. Beyond providing access to technology, the programmes also offer long-term support to teachers, enabling them to make effective use of these new tools, adapt them over time and ensure their continued use beyond the duration of the programme.

“When our schools do not have access to information and digital technologies, learning is much slower. Without access to what is happening in the rest of the world, we fall behind other schools, to the detriment of our students and their future.” Jaime Sera Ulli, teacher in Timor-Leste

Programmes built around inclusion and equal opportunities

The programmes aim to provide girls and boys with more equitable access to new learning opportunities, with particular attention given to the most vulnerable children, including those at risk of dropping out of school and children with disabilities.

“Before, we didn’t have computers at school and access to the Internet was difficult. Now, we can do research. I dream of becoming an accountant, and having access to this education makes me feel more confident about my future.”,  Merveille, 15, student in Benin

Greater ambitions for the next four years

Since 2022, the partnership has helped expand access to digital tools and enrich educational content in 57 schools across Benin, Brazil and Timor-Leste, reaching more than 41,000 children with the involvement of nearly 1,000 teachers.

Building on these results, VINCI Energies is renewing its commitment alongside UNICEF France to maintain this momentum and support a programme in Senegal with the same ambitions.

Overall, between 2026 and 2030, VINCI Energies’ support will enable more than 100,000 students to access online educational resources across 82 schools in Benin, Brazil, Senegal and Timor-Leste. More than 9,400 teachers will be trained to integrate new technologies into their teaching practices.

This partnership reflects VINCI Energies’ commitment to a model of performance that combines economic, social and societal dimensions. It also embodies one of the Group’s fundamental values, solidarity, echoing the daily commitment of its employees to sharing knowledge and contributing to the development of local communities.

“We have been committed alongside UNICEF since 2022, united by a shared ambition: to make a lasting difference in children’s lives, with a focus on achieving tangible impact and once again demonstrating the importance of solidarity, one of the core values of VINCI Energies. This approach also reflects the daily commitment of our teams across nearly 2,200 business units worldwide to knowledge sharing, education and supporting the communities in which we operate.”, Arnaud Grison, Chairman and CEO of VINCI Energies

“Thanks to VINCI Energies’ support and our shared ambition, more than 41,000 young people across three countries have seen their opportunities enhanced through education. Together, we will continue this commitment for another four years, helping to make school a genuine pathway to a brighter future for every child and young person. I would like to thank all the VINCI Energies teams for their commitment.”, Ann Avril, Executive Director of UNICEF France
