On September 8, 2026, VINCI Energies acquired Heliro Steuer- und Regelungstechnik GmbH, headquartered in Illmenau.
As a service provider, Heliro offers automation technology and process solutions for industrial customers in the mechanical engineering, manufacturing, food and logistics sectors. Founded in 1991, the company specializes in hardware design, PLC and robotics programming, and machine and plant engineering as well as retrofit projects. Thanks to its many years of experience in this field, Heliro is also capable of producing small batches, custom-made products, and prototypes.
Heliro employs 35 people at its Ilmenau (Thuringia) location and generated revenue of 4.3 million euros in 2025.
Through this acquisition, VINCI Energies is expanding the service portfolio of its industrial brand Actemium, the leading full-service provider of electrical and automation technology as well as plant engineering for industrial process solutions in Germany.
“With the integration of Heliro, we are strengthening our presence in Thuringia and further expanding our automation expertise, as well as our assembly and switchgear capacities, in other promising markets,” said Gerald Taraba, Managing Director of Actemium Germany.
