Since 2017, VINCI Energies has been supporting Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque, a charity that brings children with heart defects to France, Switzerland and Belgium for surgery when the necessary medical and financial resources may not be available in their home countries. 

Once again this year, many VINCI Energies employees joined the Coureurs du Coeur team for the Étape du Tour de France to raise funds for the charity. This challenging event is renowned for its toughness, covering 170 kilometres with 5,400 metres of elevation gain including four massive climbs. But these difficulties did not deter our 50 sporting heroes, who successfully rose to the challenge. 

As much as their athletic performance, it was the charitable cause behind it that kept them motivated throughout the event. Thanks to the support of their business units, which financed their bibs in aid of Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque, the initiative raised enough to finance heart operations for five sick children.
