20 km of Geneva: the Coureurs du Cœur take on a new challenge

On 1 November 2026, 21 Coureurs du Cœur from VINCI Energies took part in the Balexert 20 km of Geneva, running in support of Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque.

Since 2017, VINCI Energies has been supporting Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque, a charity that enables children with heart defects to undergo surgery in France, Switzerland or Belgium when their country of origin lacks the necessary medical and financial resources.

Last Sunday, 21 VINCI Energies collaborators took part in the Balexert 20 km race in Geneva. With Mont Blanc as a backdrop, the route through town and countryside took them to the shores of Lake Geneva. The ‘Coureurs du Cœur’ had a choice of two distances: 10 km or 20 km.

Beyond the sporting achievement, every participant was running for the same cause. By wearing a charity bib funded by their business unit, each collaborator helped to support the work of Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque and fund surgical treatment for a child.

This race once again confirms the commitment of VINCI Energies’ collaborators to the charity. The Geneva 20 km race marks their fifth charity event in 2026, following the Paris Half Marathon in March, the Paris–Roubaix Challenge in April, L’Étape du Tour in July and the Big Half in September.
