Easy Charge: facilitating the rollout of electric mobility

Easy Charge responsible for managing and developing eborn network.

Easy Charge, a VINCI Energies-VINCI Autoroutes joint venture, delivers turnkey projects that support the rollout of public electric vehicle charging infrastructure in the regions and also include charge point funding.

Set up in 2015, eborn, the largest French electric vehicle charging network, covers more than 2,400 charge points spread throughout the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur regions, offering a single charging service for EVs and plug-in hybrids. In August 2020, the consortium comprising Easy Charge and FMET investment fund (Fonds de modernisation écologique des transports – Ecological Transport Modernisation Fund) obtained a concession to manage and develop the eborn network for an 8-year period. Easy Charge is responsible for funding new infrastructure, for design and construction, and for the operation, maintenance and commercial management of the network. With maintenance being a key aspect of the service, Easy Charge is committed to repairing faulty charge points within 72 hours, and within 24 hours for regular-use charge points.

In response to the expansion of electric mobility and the collective determination to decarbonise road use, Easy Charge plans to invest in installing additional charge points by 2023.
