VINCI Energies is investing in apprenticeships by setting up an electrotechnical BTS* course with the Les Compagnons du Devoir training organisation in eastern France.

In 2019, Actemium Strasbourg took on five apprentices from the CIRA BTS, a course in industrial control and automatic regulation led by Les Compagnons du Devoir. Following this initial experience, it was decided — as part of a tripartite approach between apprentices, employers and training institutes — that an electrotechnical BTS course, more suited to VINCI Energies’ business lines, would be created.

The course has been designed to function as a passport to work and consists of a common core made up of general subjects, as well as adapted specialisms for each business line (industry, the service sector and infrastructure). The apprentices on the course alternate between two weeks of theory classes at the Les Compagnons du Devoir facility in Troyes and two weeks of work at VINCI Energies companies in eastern France. At the end of their training, the apprentices continue working in their roles at the companies.

Two classes with 17 students each will launch this autumn.
