A technical challenge related to the performance of the Hekla tower

The 220 metre Hekla tower under construction in La Défense for Hines and AG Real Estate, will be handed over in 2022.

Designed by Jean Nouvel and located in the French business district of La Défense, the Hekla tower will include offices, services and retail space. It spans approximately 80,000 m2 over 48 floors and falls within the Rose de Cherbourg development project in Puteaux. The building will accommodate 5,800 occupants.

In conjunction with VINCI Construction France, a VINCI Energies joint venture is handling the MEP package (electricity, building protection, smart building, plumbing, heating, ventilation, climate control, smoke extraction and fire safety). The technical installations are designed to enable the building to receive the highest French and international environmental certifications.

The contract generated strong synergies between the companies of VINCI Energies France, bringing together Phibor Opale, Cegelec Tertiaire Ile-de-France Grands Projets, SDEL Imtec, Saga Tertiaire and Uxello Tertiaire Ile-de-France.

Handover is scheduled to take place in 2022.
